As COVID has taken hold of the planet many communities are struggling to prepare for a new way of life. One community that we have actively been devoted to are the waste collectors (formal and informal) that have played an invaluable role to our initiative. As a foundation, we work to help improve the local Katamenso community but as you can imagine the outbreak of COVID19 has added an avalanche of new hurdlers that we need to overcome to be able to continue to do our work.
In an effort to raise money and provide the waste collectors with the protective materials, basic food and hand washing stations we have partnered up with GlobalGiving to help raise money for waster pickers in Ghana. Via GlobalGiving you can make safe and US tax-deductible donations to vetted, locally-driven organizations around the world.
