As we kick off a new week we wanted to share with you this amazing article written by our partners The Alliance To End Plastic Waste. Read to learn more about their mission and how we fit into their larger plan.
We personally loved how they highlighted the beauty and potential that Ghana has and how we at ASASE are working towards this goal and vision for our community. A shared goal that we both had and connected us initially was the focus of stopping the leaking of plastics into the ocean. Like ASASE, The Alliance understood the importance of developing a waste management system to be able to stop the flow of plastics. Did you know 75 percent of ocean waste comes from land? ASASE and many other foundations/NGOS like us knew we needed to focus on getting that statistic down fast.
We call this idea ‘Closing The Loop’ and we’ve developed a culture around this concept in an effort to drive change and achieve the goals we set when launched. And we also teamed up with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zürich to develop our concept into end market applications.
